Salford Quays Public Spaces Protection Order
For many years, there have been issues of anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the Salford Quays area surrounding and including the quays, basins and canals. This ASB predominantly occurs alongside periods of good weather and is having a detrimental effect on the quality of life of those within the community.
The Local Partnership Delivery group has an action plan in place each year in order to try and address these issues alongside other issues of water safety.
Salford City Council is proposing to extend the current Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in Salford Quays for a further 3 years under the Anti-social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014 when the current order expires in July 2025. The order will work alongside the action plan and to be used as an additional tool for partners to use in order to prevent or reduce ASB caused by the minority in the area which adversely affects both the residents of and visitors to the area
