What is Domestic Abuse Support in Safe Accommodation?
Local authorities have a strategic duty under Part 4 of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 to provide accommodation based support for victim/survivors of domestic abuse in their area and use the funding provided through Part 4 of the 2021 Act to supply this. As part of our duties Salford is required to assess the support needs of domestic abuse victims/survivors and produce a domestic abuse support in safe accommodation strategy every 3 years.
What is the aim of this questionnaire?
To help inform our new Domestic Abuse Support in Safe Accommodation Strategy 2025/2028, we are working with other agencies and partners and considering what people with lived experience have told us, to identify what we think should be the priorities for supporting victims/survivors of domestic abuse in safe accommodation, in Salford. We would now like to seek the views of people with personal lived experience, other members of the public and wider services/organisations on these draft priorities and objectives.
How will the information I provide be used?
All your answers will be strictly confidential, and you will not be identified, we will not be asking for your name and address. All of the information that you provide will help improve services available that support people who are victims of domestic abuse in safe accommodation.
The questions may seem quite personal, but it is important that we ask them to help organisations across Salford to understand more about the experiences of those with/and who support people with personal lived experience.
The survey will take no more than 10 minutes to complete - your time is very much appreciated – we cannot do this without your help and support.
