Purpose(s)

We process your personal information for the following purpose(s):

  • To receive public consultation on services and proposed projects
  • To improve council services
  • To create and maintain user profiles on Go Vocal
  • To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Go Vocal

To carry out these purposes we may process of personal data. Processed personal data will be determined by the specific survey; we may process the following categories of personal data: 

  •  Name
  • Address
  • Date of Birth
  • Contact information
  • Views and opinions
  • Racial or Ethnic Origin
  • Religious and Philosophical beliefs
  • Health information 

Any data that you provide via Go Vocal may contain personal data.

The legal basis under Article 6 of the UK GDPR for processing personal data is:

(e) – Public task: the processing is necessary to perform a task in the public interest or for official functions

The legal basis under Article 9 of the UK GDPR for processing special category data is:

Information sharing/recipients

We will share personal information about you with the following organisations:

  • Go Vocal

If you choose to sign in via a third party authentication provider such as Google or Facebook, they may provide your name, email address and profile photo. 


Personal Data that Go Vocal collects when you visit the Platform

If you provide permission by accepting cookies on the Go Vocal Platform, Go Vocal collect information about the usage of the Platform to assess its proper functioning and security.

Go Vocal may collect technical information about you such as your IP address and browser details. Go Vocal may also gather usage data to improve its services. You can opt out of this collection at all times in your Cookie Settings. This technical information is not linked to any other personal information and cannot be used to identify an individual.

The legal basis under Article 6 of the UK GDPR for processing personal data is: 

(f) – Legitimate interests: the processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party


Data Transfers beyond the UK

Some data may be transferred to the US. 

We will only transfer your Personal Data to service providers established outside the European Economic Area if they comply to Article 44 UK GDPR. All US-based service providers comply to Privacy Shield, which means they have to uphold to the privacy and security standards of the UK GDPR even though they are based in the US.
